Meet Dave – Chef, Gardener, Flavor Finder

Dave’s food journey began at the Culinary Institute of America, where he graduated in 2004 after winning a $25,000 scholarship for his apple pie recipe. He later honed the skills that fuel everything we make today. After years in professional kitchens, he traded the fast-paced restaurant life for a slower, more intentional way of creating flavor, starting without artificial flavors and real ingredients.

With years of organic gardening under his belt, Dave grows many of the herbs and botanicals that inspire our infused oils, and seasonings. For him, it’s about doing things the right way: no shortcuts, no artificial junk—just real food with real character.

Meet Joanne – The Heart Behind the Business

Joanne was the Director of the WISE Women’s Business Center in Syracuse for ten years helping women start and grow their businesses. Joanne retired in 2018. She’s the organizational backbone that keeps everything running smoothly. She’s passionate about connecting people to great food and making every customer feel like part of the family.

Prior to all that, both owned and operated an international Marketing and Design firm serving clients like The Stilton Cheesemakers Association, Parmigiano Reggiano, Vermont Cheese Council, and The Culinary Institute of America.
